Happy New Year!

Many people are looking for New Years resolutions. However, as Christians, we should create resolutions that glorify God. 1 Thessalonians says, “Never stop praying.” (ESV) 

Never stop praying. As Christians, we must have a relationship with God. But what’s a relationship if you don’t talk to each other? Prayer is the way we talk to God. It is the way we communicate with our Father. Let one of your resolutions for the new year be to never stop praying. Or start praying. Your prayer doesn’t have to be long and you don’t have to use big words to impress God. He loves you already. All He wants is that you talk to Him. You can pray short prayers throughout your day. Just remember to thank God in your prayers, to praise Him. And if you remember that you sinned, repent. The most important thing about prayer is that it has to come from your heart. Prayer isn’t reading a script out loud to God. Put meaning into your prayer. Happy New Year everyone. May God bless you so greatly in 2018.
