ALL ABOUT JESUS

He is the most famous person in all of human history. More songs have been sung to Him, artwork created of Him, and books written about Him than anyone who’s ever lived. Even our calendar is based off his life, dividing time before and after him. A lot of people have an idea of who Jesus is. They may get this idea from TV or movies, maybe from past church experience and Sunday School, from history books, or maybe from just hearsay, but just because we have ideas of who Jesus is doesn’t mean we actually know Jesus.

IF YOU ARE READY TO ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR, YOU CAN PRAY THIS SIMPLE PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you that He died to take my sins away. I know I have sinned and broken your laws and I am sorry. I ask you to forgive me. Please take my sins away and give me a new life to serve you. I believe the Bible and I believe you hear my prayers. I take you at your word and confess that I am forgiven. Thank you, God.

IF YOU HAVE ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR , WHAT SHOULD YOU DO NEXT?

There are several important things necessary to a successful Christian walk:

First, if you know there is sin you our life, you should separate yourself from those things that will hinder you in your new life. There are many definitions of sin, but one of the better is this: “Sin is doing anything Jesus wouldn’t do.” If there are things in your life that you are sure Jesus would not do, you should ask God to help you stop doing these things. As you grow in God’s grace and read the Word of God, He will show you other areas of your life where you can separate from ungodly things and draw closer to Him.The Ten Commandments, which  are from the Old Testament, give Christians an idea of the kind of personal morality God expects from us. Among other things, He told us to respect him; He told us not to lie, steal, murder or commit sexual sins. (Exodus 20:1-17).

Find a Church Home

Perhaps nothing will be more important to your spiritual progress than finding a life-giving church. Many churches are very good and we are sure you will find a great church. Pray and ask God to lead you to the right church. In your search for a church you should look for several things—-worship that uplifts you, preaching from the Bible and caring members that will stand with you in your new walk. Tell the pastor of the church that you are a new Christian and ask him to help you find some friends that will mentor you. A good pastor will be more than happy to help you.

Read the Bible

You should also read the Bible every day.

If you don’t have the Bible, reach out to us and we can send you one. Read at least a few chapters every day. We recommend you to start from the Gospel of John. After you have read the Gospel of John several times, move on with the Gospel of Matthew and read through the rest of New Testament.

Many Christians also like to read from the Old Testament books of Psalms and Proverbs.

Pray Every Day

Don’t let that scare you. Prayer is simply talking to God. You can talk to Him just like you would talk to a dear friend. He will hear you and will answer your prayers if you pray with faith according to His will. Jesus gave us a model prayer while He was on the earth. Until you feel comfortable in prayer you can repeat His prayer. However, the prayer is not meant for repetition as it a pattern showing us how to pray. You can pray for your family, for your friends, for your personal and spiritual needs. You can be sure that God hears you when you pray.

The Lord’s Prayer :

“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.”Luke 11:1-4
